[005]

Photonic and electronic IC design, FPGA and PCB development, electronic-photonic integration, and complete system builds — from a team that designs and ships its own controller silicon.

01 - Photonic IC design
Modeling, simulation, design, and design rule checking for photonic components, subsystems, and complete systems across telecom, datacom, quantum, and AI applications.
02 - PIC layout
Layout using foundry PDK libraries, including guidance on design for manufacturing, testing, and packaging.
03 - Electronic IC design
Analog and digital IC design, simulation, and DRC — the same discipline we use for our own controller silicon.
04 - FPGA and RTL
Register-transfer level design, simulation and verification, FPGA prototyping, IP core development, and integration with surrounding components.
05 - PCB development
Schematic capture through layout, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing — boards built to be compact and thermally sane, not just electrically correct.
06 - Integration
Combining electronic and photonic components into a single hybrid or heterogeneous system, and the complete instrument around it: hardware, firmware, software, and control interface.
Capabilities
What We Design
Six in-house engineering capabilities that can be combined to support complex electronic, photonic, and integrated system development.

Our engineering capability is demonstrated through technology developed for our own product platforms, including controller silicon used within Nicslab's instruments.
XEIC-A00 integrates multichannel DAC and ADC control through a single SPI interface, simplifying control architecture for high-channel-count photonic systems.
The same engineers developing our internal technologies also contribute directly to customer projects.

Key commercial considerations are discussed early so both teams understand the project structure before development begins
Who Owns The IP
Development costs are structured around defined engineering milestones, followed by unit pricing when the project moves into production.
How It Is Priced
An NDA can be established before technical discussions begin to protect confidential designs, specifications, and development information.
Confidentiality
If a project falls outside our capabilities or is not technically suitable, we will communicate that during the initial scoping stage.
