Multiconnector M2
A 120-channel multi-connector with FFC and pin-header interfaces.
Quantity
Overview
A passive interconnect board (type 2 / M2) that sits between the main XPOW system and a device under test. It breaks out 120 channels to FPC connectors and 2.54 mm pin headers, with reconfiguration pins arranged in two separated groups and per-channel/GND checkpoints, so the same board can be wired to suit different DUT connector types without modifying the main system.
Key Features
● 120 channels broken out across FPC connectors (points A–C) and a 2.54 mm pin header (point D)
● Points A, B, and C are directly connected to point D according to matching labels (e.g., Y74 at point B is connected to Y74 at point D)
● Reconfiguration pins split into two separated groups (points E–J and points K–P), connected using jumper wire as a reconfiguration arrangement
● Ground checkpoint (6 pin, point R) and channel output checkpoints (point Q, 1–120) for multimeter verification without disconnecting cabling
● Direct pass-through connector (point S) to the main XPOW system — factory pre-wired
● Compact, passive PCB — no external power required beyond what passes through from the main system
● Supports multiple simultaneous DUT connection types (FPC and pin header) from a single board

Connector / Point Reference (Callout A-S)
Callouts A–S correspond to the physical points on the M2 board used to configure connections to the DUT. Points A, B, C, and D connect to the DUT; the reconfiguration pins are at points E–J (group 1) and points K–P (group 2), connected via jumper wire; point Q is the channel output checkpoint; point R is the GND checkpoint; point S connects to the main XPOW system.
Callout | Component Description |
A | FPC-1 50 pins (X10-X6, Y40-Y1, X5-X1) |
B | FPC-2 50 pins (X50-X46, Y80-Y41, X45-X41) |
C | FPC-3 50 pins (X90-X86, Y120-Y81, X85-X81) |

Wiring Logic
● Callouts A, B, and C are connected to point D, and likewise callouts E, F, G, H, I, and J are connected to point D. For example, pin Y1 at point A (FPC-1 50 pin) is connected to Y1 at point D (2x20-1 pin header) and Y1 at point E (2x20-2 pin header). Another example, pin X3 at point D (2x20-1 pin header) is connected to X3 at point E (2x20-2 pin header).
● Point S connects to the main system and is pre-wired at the factory (GND and corresponding channel outputs already mapped).
● Points P, O, K, and L directly correspond to point S, where the top row is GND and the bottom row (C1–C120) is channel outputs.
● Factory default (with cable attached to points J, I, F, E, P, O, K, and L): X1–X120 are grounded and Y1–120 are channels.
Basic Usage Example
Example 1 — Pin-header DUT
For a DUT with an 8-channel 2.54 mm pin-header input, in factory-default configuration, channels 1–8 can be wired directly from point D. Signals are available as Y1–Y120 (point D); GND is available at X1–X120.
Example 2 — FPC-input DUT
For a DUT with an FPC 50-pin input at point A, in factory-default configuration all Y pins are signals. To use the X pins as additional signals instead of GND, assign the jumper wire at points F, E, K, and L to the corresponding output point.
Configuration Options
Configuration Option | Description |
Output connector | FPC (points A–C) or 2.54 mm pin header (point D) — both available simultaneously |
Reconfiguration | Points E–P (in two jumper-connected groups) allow remapping of channel/GND assignment away from factory default |
Verification | Channel output checkpoints (Q, 1–120) and GND checkpoint (R, 6 pin) for multimeter probing |
