Multiconnector M6

A 40-channel multi-connector with IDC, SMA, and 2.54 mm pin-header interfaces.

Quantity

Overview

M6 multi-connector board is designed to accommodate 40 channels output from XPOW/XDAC. It consists of several different types of connectors including 2.54 mm pin output, SMA output, and IDC connectors. It is suitable for applications that require multiple devices with different connections, so the same 40 channels can be accessed through IDC, SMA, or pin-header connectors at once, with CONF reconfiguration pins and per-channel/GND checkpoints for verification.

Key Features

●     40 channels broken out across three IDC connectors (points A–C), 2.54 mm CONF pin headers (points D/E), and SMA connectors (point H, 16 Ch)

●     Dedicated CONF reconfiguration pin headers (points D and E) to remap channel/GND assignments

●     Ground checkpoints (2 pins, points L/M) and per-channel output checkpoints (point I, 1–40) for multimeter verification without disconnecting cabling

●     Direct pass-through connectors (points J/K) to the main system — factory pre-wired

●     Compact, passive PCB — no external power required beyond what passes through from the main system

●     Supports multiple simultaneous DUT connection types (IDC, SMA, and/or pin header) from a single board

Connector / Point Reference (Callouts A-M)

Callouts A–M correspond to the physical points on the M6 board used to configure connections to the DUT. Points A–C are the IDC connectors; points D and E are the CONF reconfiguration pins; points F and G are the GND/channel mapping pins; point H is the SMA connector bank; point I is the channel output checkpoint; points J and K connect to the main system; points L and M are the GND checkpoints.

M

GND check point 2 pin (42)

Wiring Logic

●     Points B and C (IDC connectors carrying the Y and X channel groups) share the same channel pins as the CONF headers at points D and E respectively, and as point A, giving three simultaneous connector types onto the same 40 channels.

●     Points J and K connect to the main system and are pre-wired at the factory (GND and corresponding channel outputs already mapped).

●     Points F and G directly correspond to points J and K, where the top row is GND and the bottom row (C1–C40) is channel outputs.

●     The SMA connectors at point H are wired directly to the main system through points J and K, so they can be used without any additional reconfiguration.

Basic Usage Example

Example 1 — SMA-input DUT

For a DUT with SMA inputs (e.g. 3 channels), connect directly to any available SMA connector on the board (CH1–CH16), since the SMA connectors at point H are already wired through to the main system via points J/K. Select the matching channel (CH1–CH16) in the control GUI.

Example 2 — IDC-input DUT

For a DUT with an IDC connector input, connect directly to point A, B, or C using an IDC cable, since these connectors are already wired through to the main system via points J/K. Select the matching channel in the control GUI.

Configuration Options

Configuration Option

Description

Output connector

IDC (points A–C), 2.54 mm pin header (points D/E), or SMA (point H) — multiple types available simultaneously

Reconfiguration

CONF headers (points D/E) allow remapping of channel/GND assignment away from factory default

Verification

GND checkpoints (L/M) and per-channel checkpoints (I, 1–40) for multimeter probing
